They use different scanning engines and different methods to detect virus, so sometime one would find one while another misses, but all the major ones are normally covered with the latest updates.
Cost mostly. I use a cheaper one and have had no problems at all.
You should be looking for one that protects your computer the most. There are lots of different brands out there. Get a good one before you run into bother and make sure you upgrade each year. New viruses are always coming out.
some slow your pc down some dont, some find different viruses/spyware than others
the industry is based on dishonest people writing viruses, why does a antivirus company not pay people to write these viruses so they can make even more profits. i have a virus on this computer that is an advert from a 'antivirus' company i have to pay money to get rid of it!
