just check ur program files, see whether there is some common antivirus name. If no, just install one. I recommend you AVG Free Edition.
One more to check is, go to your Window Security Center where you can set firewall. See whether there is ANTIVIRUS is installed or not.

First open control panel. In that launch the security center(it's icon is a shield with 4 colours on it). Here you can know about the status of the anti-virus on your computer. It is the third option from the top.
