What is the best all around antivirus software for Windows VISTA?

All the expert reviews I've seen say that McAfee and Norton are pretty good, but then the user reviews say that neither is very good.

I've heard good things about Kaspersky from both experts and users, but I've never used it before.

Please share your opinion and experience. THANKS!

alright since vista is such a high loading operating system it would be good to stick with a smaller anti virus that will protect you with out slowing down your machine. i recomend sbc global antivirus. it doesnt slow your machine down at all and once you download it you dont have to pay for anything, unlike norton.

Google offers a nice, free pack of software that includes both an antivirus and an antispyware scanner. I had good luck cleaning up my computer and bringing it back to life using these tools. Plus, you can trust it since it comes from Google and not some no-name software company.

Good luck!
I have been using Trend Micro, and had absolutely no problems for about 6 months, it is NOT a resource hog and it isn't buggy at all..

Interface is straightforward and holy cow it does alot....

I have heard good things about the Kapersky, but i haven't used it as of yet, i can't see how it can be better than trend micro..

Good Luck
Kaspersky or Windows Defender
