Can anyone give me any reviews on Avast antivirus software. It seems new to me any suggestions?

I am a registered beta tester for antivirus, antispyware and most all other software that is not yet available to the general public.

Avast has an excellent background scanner that really works in real time. Plus you get on the hour updates.

Avira Germany has a much higher rate of detection, no background scanner and no auto. updates. Have to update daily on a manual basis.

Some one mentioned Ad-Aware 2007 Lavasoft. The new version is pure junk. If possible download the prior version 100% fine.
